Invitations will be sent to participants from DFTA on a first come first served basis.


Presenter: Joyce Fogel, MD, FACP, AGSFDr. Fogel is an Associate Professor of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicineat Icahn School of Medicine at Mount SinaiDr. Fogel will discuss how to stay chronologically gifted, and enjoy healthy aging. Screening and prevention guidelines will be discussed including cancer screenings and recommended immunizations. We will touch on telehealth options to make sure health care is accessible in uncertain times. The goal is to empower adults to take charge of their health and wellness.


Dr Fogel is Associate Professor of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai a fellow of the American College of Physician and Fellow of the American Geriatrics Society. She maintains a clinic practice at Mount Sinai Downtown Union square. Dr Fogel is involved in teaching medical students, residents and fellows educating our next generation of doctors in caring for older adults. Community education is another one of her interests especially around healthy aging as well as cognitive impairment.

Purpose: We will look to hear from older New Yorkers directly on the issues most important for New York’s elected officials to work to address. LiveOn NY will utilize the information shared during the Listening Session to inform policy makers on the issues most impacting older New Yorkers.

Who should attend: This event is open to all older adults living in New York City.

Format: Participants can join via Zoom or telephone. Participation via Zoom is recommended for those able, as we will be utilizing Zoom’s polling feature during the session. Please note: registration is required.
