The Bay Ridge Center has worked tirelessly to meet the needs of our community, and we will continue to support seniors in the area. Your financial support assures that these services continue. Here's some of what we've been doing since March 16 when the centers had to close and our members were told to stay home, too often alone...

• Continuing to deliver meals to more than 600 homes  through our meals on Wheels program. Preparing to add more than 50 deliveries to our client list.

 

• Helping connect the dozens-a-day seeking food support with home delivered food packages, grab and go meals, shopping volunteers, food pantries, and other programs.

​

​• Making wellness calls twice a week to each member and offering mental health services to those in need.

 

• Staying updated on the best information about the coronavirus and all local guidelines to keep our community well-informed. Creating a special Covid-19 webpage for this information.

 

• Launching online programming (within days of the centers' closure) with the same activities leaders members know from attending the center.

 

• Doing all we can to support staff, interns, volunteers, and members  during these difficult times.

 

• Preparing to launch a new online platform, Bay Ridge Village, offering all these resources and direct connection to friends in a safe online community.

The teams at Bay Ridge Center and Bay Ridge Connects are passionate about providing these services and supporting our members in these trying times, however we need the support of the community to be successful in doing so.
