Paw Pantry Initiative

The Paw Pantry Initiative of Bay Ridge Center is designed to feed and enrich your pets! We recognize how much support our furry friends can provide during the time of isolation. Our goal is to continue to support our older adults at Bay Ridge by keeping each individual and their pets healthy and secure, together at home.

As of April 1, 2021, we just completed our second raffle for $100 gift certificates to My Natural Pet Shop in Bay Ridge. 40 lucky winners will be heading off to supplement their pet supplies thanks to Meals on Wheels America and PetSmart Charities, and our partnership with My Natural Pet.

In late December 2020, we distributed 500 lbs of food to 65 pets belonging to 50 of our members

Linda created the Warm With Love project, which has drawn in many other volunteers and lots of scarves!

Thank you to all our volunteers who made this program a success!

Bay Ridge Center's program Warm with Love, Scarves for Seniors was created by Linda Eaton to give to seniors who are feeling isolated during this time — and help them stay warm too. We collected piles of homemade scarves, and they are being distributed by even more volunteers. The project ended March 31, 2021, and we will have a full report soon!

We collected so many beautiful scarves, it will take a while to get them all delivered!
