Warm Up Seniors with Love —
Make a Scarf Today

Bay Ridge Center's program Warm with Love, Scarves for Seniors started last month and was created by Linda Eaton. We are collecting handmade scarves to give to seniors who are feeling isolated during this time — and help them stay warm this winter too! Click here for a flyer with this information.
What You Can Do:
  • Between now and March 31, knit or crochet

  • a scarf, and we will donate it to a senior in our community

  • Hand write a card that can be delivered with a scarf to warm lonely seniors up with love

  • Volunteer to deliver scarves

  • Donate yarn, knitting needles or crochet hooks, and other supplies

Drop off (Mon-Fri, 9 am - 4 pm) or mail scarves to

Paw Pantry Initiative

The Paw Pantry Initiative of Bay Ridge Center is designed to feed and enrich your pets! We recognize how much support our furry friends can provide during the time of isolation. Our goal is to continue to support our older adults at Bay Ridge by keeping each individual and their pets healthy and secure, together at home.

In late December 2020, we distributed 500 lbs of food to 65 pets belonging to 50 of our members  BRC Paw Pantry is powered by Meals on Wheels America and PetSmart Charities and is run in partnership with My Natural Pet.

In December 2020, My Natural Pet provided some of our members with FREE pet food thanks to BRC’s Paw Pantry powered by Meals on Wheels America and PetSmart Charities.
